The Bedrooms

We have 6 bedrooms here at Bowlish House ranging from top floor family rooms, to first floor double rooms including a four poster double bedroom. Three bedrooms restored to their original decor, finished all too high spec. With only three other bedrooms to be restored, they all hold a tremendous amount of character, which is shown throughout the house.

All fitted with en-suites, equipped with a bath or shower. They all feature mini-bars, digital television and radio stations. For personal or business use there are telephones fitted with an analogue internet modem, while some rooms have a wireless broadband connection.

Room 1 - Located on the 1^st floor and positioned at the front of the house. It has a king-sized bed, two chairs, a desk and a television. It has an en-suite on the right hand side of the room, with bath and overhead shower.

Room 2 - An elegant 1^st floor king-sized four poster bedroom, positioned at the rear of the house on the 1^st floor with a view of the garden, with a couch, which can be used for just relaxing or watching a bit of television. It has an en-suite on the left hand side of the hallway when entering the bedroom, with bath and overhead shower.

Room 4 - A chic 1^st floor double bedroom with a king-sized sleigh bed, located at the front with a standing wardrobe and two chairs. It has an en-suite at the end of the room, with bath and overhead shower.

Room 5 - A spacious 1^st floor double bedroom located to the rear. There is a built in wardrobe, desk and two chairs for you to relax on or watch some television.  It has an en-suite with a walk-in shower.

Room 6 - This 2^nd floor attic room can be used for a single, double, twin or triple occupancy. It has a double and single bed within the room along with a desk and television which you can watch from your beds. It has an en-suite on the right hand side of the hallway as you walk in to the bedroom, with walk-in shower.

Room 9 - This 2^nd floor attic room can be used for a single, double, twin or triple occupancy. It has a double and single bed within the room along with a desk and television which you can watch from your beds. It has an en-suite with walk-in shower.

Included with all room prices is a continental breakfast which consists of:

A selection of juices – orange, grapefruit, pineapple, apple or cranberry

Cereals – cornflakes, bran flakes, Alpen, Weetabix, crunchy nut cornflakes or porridge

Half of fresh grapefruit or fresh fruits

Yoghurts – strawberry, peach, black cherry or natural

Somerset farmhouse Cheddar and Wiltshire ham

Tea or Coffee

Toast or croissants

Fine preserves – Strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, apricot or orange marmalade

For an additional price you can choose from a selection of cooked breakfasts.

English breakfast – sausage, bacon, hash brown, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans and a choice of egg - £5.95

Hearty breakfast – 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans and a choice of egg - £8.50

Vegetarian breakfast – Tomato, mushrooms, vegetarian sausage, hash brown, baked beans and choice of egg - £5.95

Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs - £8.50

Scrambled, poached or fried eggs with toast - £2.95

Kipper and poached egg - £3.95

Baked beans on toast - £2.50

Check-in: check in is from 2pm and we request that guests try to avoid checking in between 7 pm and 9:30 pm due to the restaurant.

Check-out: check out is 10am.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled more than 72 hours prior to the arrival date then no cancellation charge will apply, however, if cancelled within 48 hours of arrival then 100% of the total cost of the stay will be payable (this includes stays that are for more than 2 nights).

All of our rooms are non-smoking.

Anyone found to have been smoking in the rooms will be subject to cleaning charge of £300.
